Managing Questions

The Questions window allows you to list the questions in the questions base, and allows the creation of a new question, the edition or removal of an existing one.

If the window is opened through the Add button of the Questions group of the Test Elaboration window, besides the functions mentioned above, the created or edited questions can be included in the current test. If the window is opened through the Questions button this function will not be enabled.

Fields and Commands

Discipline

Select a discipline in this field if you want to display only the questions of that discipline. Otherwise leave the “All” item selected and all questions of the base will be displayed, independently of the discipline.

If this window was opened through the Add button of the Test Elaboration window, the discipline selected on that window will be automatically selected in this field.

Grade

Select a grade in this field if you want to display only the questions of that grade. Otherwise leave the “All” item selected and all questions of the base will be displayed, independently of the grade.

If this window was opened through the Add button of the Test Elaboration window, the grade selected on that window will be automatically selected in this field.

Question Type

Select in this field the type of the question, such as “open question”, if you want to display only the questions of that type. Otherwise leave the “All” item selected and all questions of the base will be displayed, independently of the type.

Author

Type the author's name if you want to display only the question which the author's name initiates with the typed text. If you want to display all questions, independently of the author, leave this field empty.

Questions

This group is responsible for listing the questions in the base, if you have entered a value in the fields explained above to filter them or not.

Discipline

This field displays the discipline of the corresponding question.

This field is read-only and it cannot be modified.

Grade

This field displays the grade of the corresponding question.

This field is read-only and it cannot be modified.

Question

This field displays the question's title.

This field is read-only and it cannot be modified.

Question Type

This field displays the type of the corresponding question, such as “one-answer choice question” or “open question”.

This field is read-only and it cannot be modified.

Author

This field displays the author of the corresponding question.

This field is read-only and it cannot be modified.

New

Press this button to display the Create a Question window. In this window you can create a new question in the questions base. If the Questions window was displayed through the Test Elaboration window, the new created question can be included in the current test.

Remove

This button allows you to remove the selected question if you are the question's author. You can select one or more questions to be removed. After you press the Remove button a message will be displayed for you to confirm the removal.

If you press the Yes button in this confirmation message, the selected questions will be permanently removed from the questions base and will not be able to be recovered. If you press the No button, the questions will be removed and the application will return to the Questions window.

Edit

This button allows you to edit the selected question if you are the question's author. When you press the Edit button the Create a Question window will be displayed to allow you to make changes to the question.

Add Questions to the Test

This button will only be enabled if the window was opened through the Add button of the Test Elaboration window.

Select one or more questions in the list and press this button to include them in the current test being created or edited through the Test Elaboration window. After pressing the button, the application will return to the Test Elaboration window.

Return

This button will only be enabled if the window was opened through the Add button of the Test Elaboration window.

When you press this button, the application will return to the Test Elaboration window.

Help

This button displays the Help window where you can navigate through the v-Class Teacher help topics.

Close

This button closes the Questions window and returns to the v-Class Teacher Main window
