Managing
Tests

In the Manage Tests window you can see all tests or filter them by discipline, grade and author. You can also access the window to create a new test, select a test to edit, view the created tests, remove tests, export tests, import a test and create or modify questions. To display the Manage Tests window, press the Tests and Quizzes button in the Main window of the v-Class Teacher. In the window that is displayed, press the Test Paper Management in the Test Preparation group, located to the left right side of the screen.

Fields
and Commands

|
Discipline You
can select a specific discipline in this field to show only the
tests that are referent to this discipline. The disciplines
displayed in this list are included when you create the tests and
inform new disciplines in the creation process. When there is no
discipline created, this field displays only the “All” option,
indicating that all tests will be displayed, independently of
their discipline. |

|
Degree You
can select a specific degree in this field to show only the tests
that are referent to this degree. The degrees displayed in this
list are included when you create the tests and inform new degrees
in the creation process. When there is no degree created, this
field displays only the “All” option, indicating that all
tests will be displayed, independently of their degree. |
|
|
Author If
you type a value in this field, only the tests which author's name
initiates with the typed text will be displayed. If there is no
test created with an author's name initiating with the typed text,
nothing will be displayed. To display all
tests, independently of author, leave this field empty. |

Tests List |
|
|
|
Discipline This field displays the discipline of the current test. This
field is read-only and it cannot be modified. |
|
|
Grade This field displays the grade of the current test. This
field is read-only and it cannot be modified. |
|
|
Author This field displays the author of the current test. This
field is read-only and it cannot be modified. |
|
|
Title This field displays the title of the current test. This
field is read-only and it cannot be modified. |
|
|
Total Score This field displays the total score of the current test. The total score is the sum of all questions scores included in the test. This
field is read-only and it cannot be modified. |

New To
create a new test the New
button must be pressed. The Test
Elaboration window
will be displayed to the inclusion of information for the test
being created. The author of the new test will be the teacher that
is logged in v-Class
Teacher
and this author will be automatically assigned to the test. |

Remove If you want to remove a test, select it in the list and press the Remove button. The test will be permanently removed, and you will not be able to restore or view it again. Only the test's author can remove it. After pressing the Remove button, a message will be displayed for you to confirm if you really want to remove the test.
If the message is confirmed, through the Yes button, the test will be removed. Otherwise, if you don't confirm the message, by pressing the No button, the application will return to the Manage Tests window and the test will not be removed. If you are not the test's author, an alert message will be displayed, indicating that the removal will not be possible.

Edit If you want to edit a test, select it from the list and press the Edit button. If you are the test's author, it will be available for edition. The Test Elaboration window will be displayed with information of the selected test and changes can be made to it. If you are not the test's author, an alert message will be displayed, informing that the edition will not be possible, but this test can be used to create a new one that you will own.
If
the message is confirmed through the Yes
button, the Test Elaboration window
will be displayed for the creation of a new test, using the
current one. If you don't confirm the message and press the No
button, the application will return to the Manage
Tests window. |

Preview To
view the changes that were saved by the test, you can press the
Preview
button. A new window will be displayed to view the test, in the
same manner that it will be displayed to the students. |

|
Export To export a test, after select it from the list, press the Export button. A window will be displayed for you to choose the location where the export file, in a XML format, will be saved. An exported test can be later be imported to the application. This feature is interesting, because a teacher can import tests exported by other teachers.
After exporting the test, an alert message will be displayed, indicating that the export was successfully completed.

Import To import a test, press the Import button and a new window will be displayed for you to choose the XML test file that you want to import to v-Class Teacher.
To import a test, after selecting the corresponding file, press the Open button. The test will be included in the tests base and you will be the author of this test. After importing the test, a message will be displayed, indicating that the test import was successfully completed.

Questions To
create or modify questions, press the Questions
button. The Questions window
will be displayed and you can create new questions to the
questions base, modify existing questions or remove them. These
questions can be later included in a test when you are creating or
editing it. |

|
Help This
button displays the Help window where you can navigate through the
v-Class
Teacher help
topics. |
|
|
Close This button closes the Manage Tests window and returns to the Main window. |
