Displaying a Movie

The Net Movie window is responsible for displaying movies for the students. A movie can be selected to be displayed to one or more students. The movie can be displayed with block or without block, indicating if the student's computer will be blocked or not. The movie can be tested before it is displayed in the students computers to check if it is executing correctly.



Fields and Commands

Student Login

This field displays the student login.

This field is read-only and it cannot be modified.

Status

This field displays the movie execution status in the student's computer.

Movie Displayed with Block: the movie is being displayed with block in the student's computer. This means that the student's mouse and keyboard will be blocked and that he will not be able to use his computer while the movie is being displayed. This status is represented by the above image, illustrated by a closed red lock.

Movie Displayed without Block: the movie is being displayed without block in the student's computer. This means that the student's mouse and keyboard will not be blocked and that he will be able to use his computer while the movie is being displayed. This status is represented by the above image, illustrated by an opened green lock.

Movie not Being Displayed: the movie is not being displayed in the student's computer. This status is represented by the above image, where a red X can be viewed.

Select All

This field allows the selection of all students in the list. To remove the selection, just check the field again.

File

This field displays the name of the movie file that is going to be transmitted to the students.

Browse...

This button allows you to choose a movie file to be displayed in the students computers. After pressing the Browse... button, a new window will be displayed to select the file.

After the movie selection, the Open button must be pressed. The application will return to the previous window and all buttons will be enabled, except for the Stop Movie button, because the exhibition of the movie has not yet started.

Start Movie

This button starts the movie exhibition in the selected students computers. The movie will also be started in your computer.



With Block

This field allows the movie exhibition with block in the student's computer. This means that the student's mouse and keyboard will be blocked and that he will not be able to use his computer while the movie is being displayed. To uncheck this option click this field again

Movie Exhibition

After the movie exhibition has started, with or without block, all buttons will be disabled, except for the Stop Movie button.

A new window will be opened with the movie being displayed.

If you select a file that is not in the appropriate format, a message will be displayed indicating that the file format is not compatible.

During the movie exhibition, you can pause the movie, restart it or stop the movie.

Stop Movie

This button stops the movie exhibition in the selected students computers. The movie will also be stopped in your computer.

Start Movie Test

This button allows that the movie is tested in your computer before it is displayed in the students computers. A window will be displayed and you can view the movie being displayed in your computer. If there is any error while playing the movie, it will be indicated by the movie player.



Stop Movie Test

After pressing the Start Movie Test button to test the movie in your computer, before it is displayed in the students computers, the Stop Movie Test will be enabled. This button allows to stop the movie test exhibition in your computer.

Help

This button displays the Help window where you can navigate through the v-Class Teacher help topics.

Close

This button closes the Net Movie window and returns to the Main window.
