Elaborating a Question

The Question Elaboration window is responsible for allowing the creation or edition of a question. A created or modified question can be included in a test.

This window can be opened in the following situations: the New or Edit button of the Questions group is pressed in the Test Elaboration window; the New or Edit button is pressed in the Questions window or the Create a Question button is pressed in any window of the Tests and Quizzes module.

Fields and Commands

Discipline

Type or select a discipline that you want for the question. If this field is empty, when the OK button is pressed, an alert message will be displayed, indicating that you must inform a value.

When you type a new discipline, the next time you use this window, this discipline will be listed in this field, so it will not be necessary to type it again.

Degree

Type or select the degree that you want for the question. If the field is empty, when the OK button is pressed, an alert message will be displayed, indicating that you must inform a value.

When you type a new degree, the next time you use this window, this degree will be listed in this field, so it will not be necessary to type it again.

Author

This field automatically displays the name of the teacher that is logged in v-Class Teacher. The field will indicate the author of the question being created or edited.

This field is read-only and it cannot be modified.

Question

This group of fields allows you to choose the type of the question and enter the question's title.

Question Type

Select the type of the question that you want to elaborate. To elaborate a question where only one answer is the correct one, select the “One-answer choice question” option. If this option is selected, the correct answer must be informed, or otherwise when you press the OK button, an alert message will be displayed.

To elaborate an open question, the “Open” option must be selected. In this case, the Answer field doesn't need to be informed.

Question

Type in this field the title of the question. This field is required and if it is empty when you press the OK button, an alert message will be displayed, indicating that the value must be informed.

Answer

This group of fields allows that you enter the answers to a question that is the type of “One-answer choice question”. If the question is of the “Open” type, this group will be disabled.

Option

This field indicates the option to the answer, defined by a letter, from “A” to “Z”.

This field is read-only and it cannot be modified.

Correct Answer

Check this field if the corresponding answer is the correct one for the question. Leave the field unchecked if the answer is not the correct one. When the “One-answer choice question” value is selected, only one answer must be checked as the correct one.

Answer

Describe the answer for each choice indicated in the corresponding Option field.

OK

To save the elaborated question, press the OK button and the application will return to the previous window.

Cancel

To cancel the question elaboration, press the Cancel button and the Question Elaboration window will be closed. The application will return to the previous window.

Help

This button displays the Help window where you can navigate through the v-Class Teacher help topics.

Close

This button closes this window and returns to the v-Class Teacher Main window.
