File Transfer Panel Through this panel you can configure default location to receive a file sent from a student and to send a file to a student.
Receive Location of Students Files The /home/<teacher's computer login> field allows you to inform the location where the files sent by the students, through the File Transfer function, will be saved in your computer. When a file is transferred, this default location will be incremented with the Class Model name and the login of the student in v-Class Student. The login indicated here is the operational system login, not the v-Class Teacher login. For example, if your operational system login is “metasys” and nothing is entered in this field, the default location to receive files sent by the students will be: “/home/metasys”. So, if you have the “Biology” Class Model active and the student which login is “giovanni” tries to send you a file, this file will be saved in: “/home/metasys/Biology/giovanni”. If your operational system login is “metasys” and you enter the “Students Files” value in this field, the default location to receive the students file will be: “/home/metasys/Students Files”. So, if you have the “Biology” Class Model active and the student's login is “giovanni”, when he sends you a file, this file will be saved in: “/home/metasys/Students Files/Biology/giovanni”. Remember
that, through the File Transfer window, this receive
location can be modified for each student, if you want. |
Send Location to Transfer Files to Students The /home/<student's computer login>/ field allows you to inform the location where the files sent by you will be saved in the students computers, through the File Transfer function. The login indicated here is the operational system login, not the v-Class Student login. For example, if the operational system login of a student is “student1” and nothing is entered in this field, the default location to save the files that you send to this student will be: “/home/student1”. If the operational system login of a student is “student1” and you enter the “Teacher Files” value in this field, the default location to save the files that you send to this student will be: “/home/student1/Teacher Files”. Remember
that, through the File Transfer window, this location to
save the files can be modified for each student, if you want. |

Manage Displays Panel Through this panel, you can configure the necessary parameters to the Manage Displays feature, that are the following functions: Teacher Presentation, Monitor Student and Student Presentation.
Teacher Presentation This
group allows the configuration of your presentation, defining the
resolution, colors, quality and compression. These parameters will
be used when your screen is captured and sent to be displayed in
the student's computer. The defined parameters don't affect the
configuration of the student's video, only affect the window that
displays the teacher's presentation. |
Monitor Student This
group allows the configuration to monitor students, with the
definition of resolution, colors, quality and compression. These
parameters will be used when a student's computer screen is
captured and displayed in your computer for you to monitor. The
defined parameters don't affect your video configuration, only
affect the window that displays the student's computer screen. |
Student Presentation This
group allows the configuration of the students presentation, with
the definition of resolution, colors, quality and compression.
These parameters will be used when a student's computer screen is
captured and sent to be displayed in the other students computers
in class. The defined parameters don't affect the video
configuration of these students computers, only affect the window
that displays the student's presentation. |
Video Resolution With
a higher video resolution you can see more details in the screen
area, but the images and letters in the screen will be smaller. Video Colors With
less colors, the computer can process the images more quickly, but
the colors must not reflect the actual colors. The other option is
to display the colors already configured in your system. Video Quality When
you use a higher quality, you can see more details in images, but
the computer will take more time to display these images. Video Compression When
you use a higher compression, the computer will process the images
quickly, but you can view images with a lower quality. |
