Silencing
Students Computers

The Silence Computer window allows blocking and unblocking the computer of a student in class. When the computer is blocked, the student is not able to use his mouse, keyboard and video.

Connected
Students |
|
|
Student Name This field displays the connected student's name. This
field is read-only and cannot be modified. |
|
|
Login This field displays the connected student's login. This
field is read-only and cannot be modified. |
|
|
Status This
field displays the students status, referent to the use of the
silence computer function: |

|
Computer
is in Silence: when the student's computer is blocked, the
Status field will display an image, as illustrated above,
that indicates through a right arrow, that the silence function is
being executed.
Computer
is not in Silence: when the student's computer is not blocked,
the Status field will display an image, as illustrated
above, that indicates through a square, that the silence function
is stopped. |

Select All This
field selects all connected students in the list. If you check
this field again, all students selection will be removed. |

Start Silence Student This button starts blocking the selected students computers. When the computer is silenced, its mouse, keyboard and video are blocked. This function is only enabled after at least one student is selected in the list. You can send a text message to be displayed in the student's monitor that will have his computer blocked. To do this, enter a message in the Message to Display field before starting the silence computer function. If a message is not displayed, the student's computer screen will be blanked. While
the student's computer is blocked, he will not be able to exit the
class. |

Stop Silence Student This
button stops the blocking of the selected students computers. This
function is only enabled after the Start Silence Student
command is used. The student will then be able to use his mouse,
keyboard and video, and if he wants, he can exit the class. |

Message to Display Enter
a message to be displayed in the student's computer screen when
the Start Silence Student function is used. |
|
|
Help This
button displays the Help window where you can navigate through the
v-Class Teacher help
topics. |

|
Close This button closes the Silence Computer window and returns to the Main window. |
